This guitar was crafted especially to be a canvass for the nationally acclaimed artist, Lane Kendrick. The top is Alaskan Sitka Spruce and has special forward shifted X-bracing to produce awesome tone. Back and sides are some gorgeous African Bubinga. The neck is Paradise Black Walnut with an overlay of Maple / Brazilian Rosewood on the headstock. And if that isn't enough beautiful wood......the fretboard and bridge are some, to die for, Macassar Ebony. Frets are extra hard gold colored alloy.
Built ESPECIALLY for Bluegrass Pickers we recently finished two identical African Padauk / Sitka Spruce Martin style guitars. These were built to be loud and punchy sounding.......special brace profiling and all details are directed to...... BLUEGRASS! Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay and our signature Purpleheart / Maple bindings finish off a stunning stringed instrument. E-mail for details.
-Montana gold? Yes! The back and sides of this D-SP cutaway are genuine Paradise Black Walnut and it does add the flavor. We mean it.....so if you are partial to grown in Montana.....this is it.
We do have Hawaiian Koa available AND....it works really..well for the D-SP. This cutaway is sold but you can e-mail (or call) us and we can build you one just like it or with many other choices of exotic woods like African Padauk or even a Montana grown wood such as Swan River Valley Engelmann Spruce or Paradise Black Walnut.
All solid woods, as this guitar is played and as the wood ages........because it is built with a labor of love, it will grow sweeter.
Yes we do have a supply of Brazilian Rosewood considered the absolute ultimate in back and sides wood. If you are unfamiliar with it, the tone is glass like. Unfortunately it has been on the Cites list for many years so supplys are limited to what is in the states. If Brazillian is your choice we've got it among many other great woods. E-mail (or call) us to see if we can build the guitar of your dreams or we may have one in stock thats just for you.
This guitar is still available......please e-mail for price.

E-mail us for a price or order one to your specifications. We won't let you down..... you'll see.
This is a dreadnought size guitar but a little more curvy at the waist (or you may specify a strictly dreadnought shape) that is available in the full 25.4” or the 24.9” scale. The guitar pictured here has an old growth redwood soundboard and a figured black walnut back and sides. Bindings are ebony and maple. Great attention to details such as brace shaping will be noticed in exemplary tone.

This guitar has deep tone.......made possible with years of experience with brace design and all hand carved. Of course the Brazilian Rosewood joined with Alaskan Sitka Spruce doesn't hurt.
